Markets begin on a high note ahead of poll outcome

Equity indices began on a positive note on Thursday as counting of votes begin for the seven-phase Lok Sabha election across the country. The benchamrk BSE sensex was trading 755 points higher at 39,865, while the broader NSE Nifty was up 207 points at 11,945 in early trade.
