Air India chairman Ashwani Lohani has also asked AI Express to consider inducting the grounded Boeing 737s that once used to fly for the now shutdown carrier. SpiceJet has already taken a large number of those B737s to tide over the shortage caused by grounding of its 12 B737 Max along with uncertainty over future delivery dates of the remaining Max on order.
