Sensex up over 100 points; Nifty above 10,900

Equity indices on Wednesday opened higher with the benchmark BSE Sensex rising over 100 points amid positive global cues and strengthening of the rupee. Sensex jumped 122 points or 0.33 per cent to 36,469, while the NSE index moved 40 points or 0.36 per cent up to 10,948.
