Russia is hosting talks between Afghanistan and the Taliban in a conference that started on Friday about which India's ministry of external affairs clarified that India will not hold direct talks with the Taliban. India has sent non-official representatives to the conference. The Taliban has said that it will not "hold any sort of negotiations" but intend to open a dialogue.
