Markets open on sedate note, Nifty under 10,900

At 9.22 am Sensex index was down 97.95 points at 36,129.19. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty too faced early losses and cracked under the crucial 10.900-mark in early trading. The gauge was down more than half a per cent within 15 minutes of trading.
