Markets end losing streak, Sensex closes higher

Sensex gained 97.39 points to close at 34,474.38 while the broader 50-share NSE Nifty finished at 10,348.05, up 31.60 points. ​​The bourses were extremely volatile through the day with Sensex cracking under the 34,000-mark at one point of time.
